Tastes of the Hunter Wine Tours began in May 2017 when Newcastle local Suzanne Sheldon set out with one bus, a love of the Hunter Valley and a big idea: to create wine tours that were professional, relaxed and genuinely fun.
Over the years, Tastes of the Hunter grew from those humble beginnings into an established Hunter Valley tour operator, welcoming guests from across Newcastle, the Central Coast, Sydney and, of course, the Hunter Valley itself.
In August 2026, Tastes of the Hunter entered its next chapter when the business was acquired by another experienced tour operator and Hunter Valley local, Brendan. While ownership may have changed, the relaxed, friendly and guest-focused approach that Suzanne was renowned for remains.
Suzanne was loved by her customers, staff and venues alike and her vibrant presence will be greatly missed in the Valley.
Tastes of the Hunter offers private and public tours designed to showcase much more than just the reds and whites the Hunter Valley is famous for. Our tours connect guests with wineries, distilleries, breweries, local producers and venues that are passionate about what they do.
