Pickups & Locations

Can we join your tour from our local accommodation in the Hunter Valley?
Yes, we pick up from Pokolbin, Rothbury, Lovedale, Cessnock, Nulkaba, Bellbird, Bellbird Heights, Broke, Singleton, Elderslie, Dalwood, Branxton, Quorrobolong, Maitland and more. If your location isn't listed, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
Can you pick us up from our hotel in Sydney?
No, we don't pick up from Sydney. Pickups are available from Hunter Valley accommodation, Newcastle and the Central Coast.
Do you pick up from Newcastle?
Yes, we can pick up from most Newcastle hotels and residential addresses, including the Newcastle CBD, Wickham, Cooks Hill, Carrington, Hamilton, Jesmond, Wallsend, Maryland, Fletcher and even Minmi.
If we're unable to get to the pickup location on time and the bus departs without us, can we get a refund or change to a future tour date?
Our drivers may be able to wait up to a maximum of 10 minutes past your scheduled departure time if the schedule allows, but this isn't guaranteed. Unfortunately we're unable to offer refunds or date changes for late arrivals, so please make sure you're at your pickup point on time.

Private Tours

Can I book a private tour where a bus is reserved only for our group?
Yes, head to our Private Tours page and submit an enquiry, and we'll organise a bus just for your group. Payment is via bank deposit.
What if we have less than the required numbers for a private group tour?
Our private group tours usually require 8 or more guests, but we can still accommodate smaller groups (under 10) with a minimum tour price applied.

On the Tour

What days do the tours run?
Our full-day shared tours run Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and selected public holidays from Hunter Valley pickup points, and Saturdays only from Newcastle. Private tours are available any day of the week (Monday–Sunday).
How long does the tour go for?
Most full-day tours picking up within the Hunter Valley run 8.5–9 hours, including travel time from pickup to drop-off.
Can we choose our seats on the bus?
There are no allocated seats, so guests choose their seats as they board. Keep in mind later pickup points mean fewer seating choices.
Can we consume beverages or food aboard the vehicles?
NSW law for transporting public passengers means bottled water is the only item that can be legally consumed on board.
Should I bring money for "extras" on the tour?
Lunch is at your own cost and typically runs $30–40 per person. On private tours, tasting fees are paid in advance as part of booking your venues, so there's nothing extra to pay for tastings on the day.
Are there vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten-free lunch options available?
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives are available at most of the lunch venues we visit, though we can't guarantee it at every stop.
Can children join the tour?
The Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Adventure Tour is for adults of legal drinking age (18+). Children (under 18) are welcome on our private tours only, by prior arrangement.
